Drive 3,000 piles covered with arsenic ( CCA) into our wetlands. If a homeowner committed this total disregard for
protecting the environment and ecosystem, the local conservation commission would issue a stop work order.
Appropriate and practicable steps have not been taken which will minimize potential adverse impacts on the aquatic
It is our opinion that this change to CCA pilings should have required a public hearing so that :
NEIGHBORS AND ABUTTERS COULD HAVE INPUT INTO THE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF THE CONSTRUCTION.
We have retained an attorney to contact DEP directly to ask them why they are not following their own policy 85-4
which requires a new letter of intent and public hearing when a change in scope such as this occurs.
We also want green buffers replaced where they have been destroyed and the removal of barbed wire from the 8ft high
chain link fences now surrounding the airport and degrading our neighborhoods.
Another fence installation is being planned on Plymouth Rd. that clearly could be moved back several hundred feet
rather than along the road where it will create another eyesore
Many of us have contacted Rep. Cantwell with our concerns and supposedly he is "looking into it." If you haven’t
contacted him yet, please email him at email@example.com or phone him at 617 722 2140.
They are definitely monitoring public calls and emails.
